AEGON goes for STP, efficiency and cost reduction
AEGON P&C Insurance has selected the Quinity Insurance Solution (QIS). Quinity’s standard software will replace the current policy and claims administrations of the Dutch insurance company.
Initially, AEGON will implement QIS for insurance products like Car, Home and Liability. This enables customers to buy insurance products online and report claims online. The first release will be in the second quarter of 2011. QIS implementation is not restricted to private lines. Commercial lines will follow.
AEGON will use QIS to achieve straight through processing, shorten its time-to-market and reduce costs by IT rationalization. QIS supports this with the integrated front, mid and back office functionality. Policy underwriting decisions as well as direct online claim handling will be automated. As soon as a claim report has been made, QIS automatically determines the coverage, calculates the sums of money to be paid and if needed notifies a claims expert (via the expertiseHub, a Dutch standardization platform for processing claim reports and orders to expert companies).
